The trio consists of Matthew Fries (piano), Greg Ryan (bass), and Vinson Valega (drums) playing original compositions as well as jazz standards. This working trio has been making music together for over five years in and around the New York City Metropolitan area, and reflects the classic jazz influences of the Keith Jarrett, Tommy Flanagan, and Ahmad Jamal trios.

A live recording of a working New York City jazz trio (piano/bass/drums), playing original tunes and standards in the style of Ahmad Jamal, Herbie Hancock, and Chick Corea. This trio has it's own group sound that comes from tradition but blazes past convention into an area all it's own.
